This "Carly Medallion Blue Southwestern Tribal Transitional" rug is just as beautiful as shown in the picture. I read some opinions that complained about the thickness and/or color but can't complain about either one. The motif is a combination of pastels and vibrant color, all of which are wonderfully combined to make this rug very beautiful especially if you're 'into' the Southwest art forms (which you obviously are if you want to order this rug). The colors are a bit muted, but need to be so in order to keep the vibrant colors from taking away from the more pastel ones. I absolutely love the design and the colors! As for the thickness, it is obvious that it isn't overly-thick but, then, what 'area rugs' are? I am completely satisfied with the thickness and the quality of the rug. My great-grandchildren have come to visit and love laying around on this rug while watching tv or playing with their toys, so it must have enough thickness to satisfy them!! LOL!The one and ONLY drawback would be that it doesn't have a 'non-slip' backing. However, the rugs that I already have DO have that and they still slide around so it's really not a problem. I have some double-sided duct tape coming that will fix that little glitch. No worries!I have a distinct Native American theme to my entire house (probably because I AM Cherokee) and am fairly well impressed with this little rugoverall, especially for the nominal price!I would definitely buy this rug again.... and might do just that when it is time to replace another of the older 'scatter rugs' in my home.Kudos to the manufacturer and to the seller!Edges are not even and when I unwrapped it there was what I thought a loose string. When I went to pick up the string it turned out to be a loose weave on the rug and it left a bare spot. The color is good and it is under a table so I am keeping it but am very disappointed.I have had this rug for close to a year now. I Love it! With two very little kids and a new puppy, this carpet has held up surprisingly well. Just a tiny bit of fraying on the outer woven edge on one corner - I am not complaining! This poor rug has taken a beating, but is still looking great. I bought it with the price in mind. I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a rug that would be potentially be ruined by my little ones. This rug has far surpassed my expectations. It is a little on the light side so it will tend to slide around or bunch up with heavy traffic - once in a while I try to weight it down to prevent permanent rippling or creasing. The colors are beautiful - tans, light brown, maroon, and light sky blue. As other reviewers have mentioned it gives a feel of southwest without being over the top, and the different colors make it easy to bring in different colors to match with your personal color scheme. If/when my current rug needs replacement, I will definitely be purchasing this same rug in the future. Hope it stays the same great price!!!Was delivered today, and I have to say we're unimpressed with the dull colors. It's not just dramatically different from the picture here on the website, it's dramatically different from the LABEL picture wrapped around it. "wow, I wish we had THAT rug" noted my wife, holding up the label against our floor.Basically the dark brown isn't, and the blue is very pale. I seriously thought we were looking at the bottom of the rug it was so washed out - but nope, there's nothing to see at all on the other side when you flip it.We probably won't return this, but not because we love it. I'm not sure I want to rassle the thing back into the long slender box it came in and fly it back across the ocean, even on Amazon's nickel. This thing shouldn't be responsible for burning up any more jet fuel, so we'll put it down in the store room for the dog, who will do with rugs what she usually does. This rug was priced significantly below other designs in the 5x7 size, which was a bit surprising to me when ordering it, since it looked decent. Now that we've received it, all is explained. There seem to have been a number of people happy with the rug, so maybe the colors drift from batch to batch, or maybe others aren't bothered by the dim colors. Just throwing this review out there for those who check such things. At $40 - the price we paid - it will cover a floor, so it earns 2 stars for that, and if we come to love it I'll readjust the 2-star rating later. But as of right now, we're unimpressed.Howdy folks, a real human being here. As other reviews hinted or said, the colors are much more dull in real life. Even in a well lit room, it's just sort of muted. It looks a bit ruffled/used out of the box. Overall this is a very cheap rug for it's size and may be just what you need.A few other notes- [BIG] This rug does not measure to 5'x7' and feels like a half foot off in both directions. I had to cut my non-slip down to fit.- 1-2 weeks to flatten the rug using a few books on the corners. Non-slip mat helped flatten faster.- Vacuuming this rug isn't simple but the non-slip mat does helpWould I buy again? Hard to say but I think I would overall lean towards no as there are other rugs on Amazon that are twice as expensive but feel 10 times nicer. :)The rug arrived yesterday. The edging is red (not the blue shown in the product photos). I have laid it out to flatten - it wasn't rolled in a round shape, but rather in a boxy style so there are creases and it refuses to lay flat. Any ideas on how to relax the creases?7/20/16 - UPDATE:I'm happy to report that the rug has been laying flat for awhile now. I really like the look of it in my kitchen - it stands up quite well to frequent vacuuming (we have 4 cats) and the pattern is a great concealer of random splatters/spills. For the price, it is a great value. I have raised my rating from 3 stars to 5.
